Prof. Marco Badami received his Master Degree "Cum Laude" in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 1988. After a short experience in the automotive industry, he joined the Faculty at Politecnico di Torino as Researcher and Lecturer in 1990.

In 1997/98, he has carried out one year of research activity on Diesel injection systems at London Imperial College in cooperation with Professor Arcoumanis.

In 2000 he was appointed Associate Professor of Fluid Machines. He is author and co-author of more than 40 publications on internal combustion engines, volumetric and turbomachines, injection systems, most of them on international congress proceedings and on international journals.

His research activity has been mainly focused on theoretical and experimental analysis of internal combustion engines (combustion process, pollution formation, 1D-3D simulation), injection systems (cavitation, sprays, transitory system simulation), Fluid-machines simulation ad optimisation.

He has performed extensive research activity sponsored by major industries, such as Fiat, Magneti Marelli, MV Agusta, Cagiva, Bitron.
